Key Stage 3- Secondary School

Secondary Education: Key Stage 3 (Years 7-9)

Students begin Key Stage 3 in year 7 and follow a broad curriculum that includes science, humanities, and personal development subjects. Students typically begin the three-year programme that culminates in the achievement of their IGCSE, CBSE, and NIOS qualifications in the third year (Year 9).

With the small class sizes at Royal Mount School, every student receives personal and vital attention from teachers. This ensures that children can develop at their own pace, gaining the most benefit at critical ages of learning. All lessons are recorded so that children (and parents) can go over any topic and ensure complete understanding.

The CBSE Curriculum is more concerned with learning than with the learner’s intelligence. Its goal is to foster creative, critical, and analytical thinking in students through Scholastic areas of learning, and to prepare them to be future global citizens. A cooperative, collaborative learning approach, promotes desired competencies in learners. It also promotes inclusive education, art-integrated learning, and innovative teaching methods in order to foster desired skills. Its primary goal is to instill optimism, contentment, and life skills in students by exposing them to lessons based on Scholastic subjects. The Curriculum also addresses mental and physical well-being, as well as appreciation and acceptance of natural and social norms, in order to foster a positive attitude and holistic development among students.
